Jun 10, 2012. #4. i had the same problem with power steering, i just changed the power steering motor, got one from scrap yard for £40, it was very easy to fit in, power steering worked after that. i was told by garages i need a new steering coloumn and ECU which would of cost me over £300+ labour. The radio in my Punto suddenly stopped working overnight and I have noticed that the steering wheel controls do not illuminate. (I suspect that this is linked to the problem). I have checked all the fuses (Interior and exterior) and the radio is getting power. I have also disconnected the negative battery terminal to reset the system then ive undone the 2 bleeding screw thingy's. then ive squeezed the hose just below the water filler until water pours out of the bleading holes. then iv put the bottom one back on at the radiator squeezed it some more and then put the top one back in. then put the cap back on the filler and fired it up for a bit. 1.
